What is Christian Science?
Christian Science is based on the teachings of the Bible and especially those of Christ Jesus, who taught there is one infinite God who is all-good, ever-present Spirit, and all-powerful Love. He also taught our (yours and mine) innate goodness and spirituality as children of God.
The Science of Christianity is demonstrated by understanding and witnessing divine Love in action, which casts out evil and heals the sick, showing that the “kingdom of God” is here and now, and supreme.
Christian Science rests on the divine Principle, “God with us”, and operates as a law of good in everyday life.
Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered Christian Science, defined it as “the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony.” (Rudimental Divine Science p. 1).

Mary Baker Eddy, Christian healer, author of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and founder of the Christian Science church, was a 19th century American woman who was a life-long student of the Holy Bible and follower of Christ Jesus. Through her own experience, she proved and taught that Jesus’ great promise, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me , the works that I do shall he do also;” (John 14:12), applies to all of us still, today. Each of us can be healed and heal others by following Jesus’ teaching and example.
